I recently visited Thai Thae in Lidcombe and it’s one of the best Thai restaurants in Western Sydney for flavour and variety. The roasted duck salad was a standout — perfectly crispy duck skin, fresh red onion, and a well-balanced dressing that made every bite flavourful and not bland at all. It completely changed my expectations of what a duck salad can be. The roast duck red curry was rich and aromatic, and the duck was tender and generous. Slightly on the salty side for my personal preference, but still very enjoyable with rice. The Pad Thai delivered the classic tangy and umami flavour you expect from an authentic Thai restaurant. My favourite dish was the coconut tom yum — creamy, spicy, and incredibly comforting. I honestly regret not ordering a larger portion. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Lidcombe or a reliable Thai restaurant in Sydney, Thai Thae is definitely worth visiting. Great option for date night or group dinners.

Very new restaurant with a modern and Thai vibe. Friendly service and a big range menu. Food was served hot and made to order. Plenty of 2P free street parking near by too, making it accessible to visitors from outside of the area.
